Are Samsung Smart TV’s All Ears

Own a Samsung TV, well if you do you might want to be all ears on this one and by the way, don’t stand by your TV reading this it might hear. Wondering what I’m talking about, I’m talking about how people might be able to see or hear all your very personal and very private conversations. Samsung smart TVs that have cool features such as voice recognition, Motion sensors, or cameras might be eavesdropping on your conversations. Samsung is not the one that is eavesdropping, but its TVs are and the tv store the data at Samsung, Samsung claims that this data is stored so that the tv can better suit your tastes by suggesting different movies and tv shows. When you buy a tv you are amazed when you hear that your new tv will be able to do things by listening to your voice or and the motion of your hand, but you may be less amazed when you hear that the CIA is using this data to stalk you. Samsung storing the data is not a problem but if this data is ever hacked these hackers will be able to listen to your conversations and will also be able to see you through the smart cam on your tv. Talk about creepy!

Ways to protect yourself, the duct debate defense. By putting duct tape on your smart cam they won't be able to see you but what about the eavesdropping on your conversations. To turn off this eavesdropping feature go to your settings and turn off the voice recognition feature. Overall whenever you want to have secretive discussions unplug your TV. I hope this was helpful, Samsung users!
