The Microsoft hololens is an augmented reality device. Augmented reality is a mix between reality and virtual reality. Surgeons are using the hololens to see 3d images of hearts, before the hololens surgeons used to look at 2d images on a computer monitor. I choose this story because I've never thought of using technology like the hololens for things other than gaming.
