Teen slang

Teens today use many types of different, somewhat made up words. Lit, savage, and fam, just to name a few of them. Although they sound like they are made a lot of them have backgrounds, or roots. For example, LB/FB means like back or follow back, which is just the initials, or goals, goals is a little different. It actually means the same thing, goals, it is used differently though. Instead of saying "My goal is to make two basketball in the net." you would say "I made two basketballs at the game! Goals!" or in some sort of text that way. Kids are just using it as an adjective instead of a noun. Some of the most common ones are, ship, slay, fleek, v. (very). These words are becoming more and more popular and some of them will probably become actual words.

  1. Good job Olivia! That is really interesting although I really hope that these don't become real words. They can get annoying.
